Was looking on Craigslist when I found another interesting vehicle on the used car market... !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! happens to be the venerable Toyota Previa, known to many as the enthusiast’s MPV because mid-engined. Well this particular example seems to be currently owned by one such enthusiast seeing as he’s even included a quote off Jalopnik for his ad... The van itself is in exemplary condition for a twenty four year old vehicle with 200K miles and it has a manual transmission not to mention Hilux-like reliability! (as stated in the ad) Its price is a bit high at $3899, but it is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity because it will likely be bought by a lower income family and driven carelessly for the rest of its very long life... So, Nice Price or Crack Pipe?

Yeah, it’s pricey, especially you can get yourself some E38 goodness for as much or less...then you have to fix it, but still...Previa or E38? Lemme think about that for a sec...

Haha, you guys have no idea what’s in front of you.

This is one of the few million mile cars that you can buy. The Previas are as reliable as can be, just change the shocks and bushings and you’ll have a practically new car. NP all day and all year. This car is clean and has already had some work done to it, it’s not a ghetto $2k mobile you mostly find for these cars..

That’s what I figured, and I was only drawn to it at first since I have this weird fascination with really clean and well-maintained but kind of boring 90’s cars...this is not really that boring though, and what you said is probably applicable to most 90’s Toyotas...

If you’re an enthusiast who quotes Jalopnik, then I’ll probably consider it legit and trustworthy. If this was three, blurry and badly framed iPhone shots with a description written in bad English, I’d probably avoid it... (Not trying to racialize here, just many questionable people in the area are those with a lesser grasp of English...)
